Thank you. Jordana Begin forwarded message: From: "Mindy Pomper" Date: October 1, 2008 12:50:47 PM CDT To: Subject: History Channel documentary series Our company, Flight 33 Productions, produced a program aired earlier this year on The History Channel, "Life After People" which received the highest ratings in the history of the network. We have now been commissioned to produce another 10 programs, which I am developing now. The basic premise is basically...."what would happen to the world if people suddenly disappeared?" It's a combination of science and some speculation. Topics we are addressing include: how long does it take for buildings to decay? how would our ecosystem and oceans be affected? Would there be any change in animal and plant life? Right now I am specifically looking for some help in researching and speculating on primate behavior. Without the presence of humans, what types of things could primates learn to do? What tasks they are capable of doing now? We don't have a definite timeline, but we expect to start production within the next month or so. I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks very much for your time and kind assistance. Last Saturday's tour had a very special guest on it. I'd emailed Max's teacher and learned he was a Mini Me, who has Jim Davis' studbook virtually memorized and loves gorillas (and other animals too). I invited Max and his mom to come early (I knew they were flying in from Washington DC just to visit Gorilla Haven) so I could give him a personal tour, and let him help feed Joe and Oliver. Any 10 year old who loves gorillas like that, needs to be encouraged! I had *no idea* about Max's lemonade stand or generosity until Saturday, just before the tour began, when his mom pulled me aside and told me he'd like to give me something. There wasn't a dry eye in the room. So maybe, just maybe, there's hope for the future. Jane -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
